Žacléř is a former mining town at foothills of Žacléř ridge. First mentioned in 14th century in context with castle Scheczler. The town was a centre of coal-mining, but it finished in 19th century. Dominant of the town is the chateau, which was several rebuilt (last time in 19th century).
