| Kořenov - train station – The oldest written notice about this area comes from 1577. A famous cog railway built in 1902 to connect Tanvald and Prussia of that time. The 932m tunnel is also an interesting sight. | | Tesařov – The symbol of this area, the Tesařov chapel, is visible from a long distance and lit at night. It has been built by the local evangelic church. | | Štěpánka - view tower Štěpánka is the oldest view tower in Jizera Mountains (1847-1892). There are picturesque views of a big part of several mountains. There is a wooden refreshment stall nearby. There are also ruins of a cross from WWII. Since February 2007 there is a webcam placed at the tower. | | Harrachov - train station – The original village was established in the beginning of 18th century and was named after count Harrachov. Since 1973 it has been a town. It has a famous glass making tradition. The glass factory started in 18th century and has made Harrachov in the whole world. There is a glass museum and a ski area with ski slopes, cross country tracks and jumping bridges of world quality. |
